Is living in faith complicated? Come and rediscover.
Turku SDA Church and SDA Youth Department proudly invite You to the Seventh-Day Adventist Nordic Youth Congress 2019! The previous Nordic Youth Congress took place four years ago in Sweden, so this is a rare opportunity to unite with the Nordic youth.
Our inspiring speaker Sam Leonor comes from California, USA, and is familiar to many as the main speaker of 2017 European Adventist Youth Congress. There is certainly a great weekend coming in wonderful facilities, so please be warmly welcomed!
Who could you invite to join you?
Our main speaker Sam Leonor loves his work as Chaplain to the students and faculty of La Sierra University.
His ministry is marked by a call to radical faith in Jesus. He loves finding ways to engage culture deeply for the sake of the Gospel. He has devoted his ministry to helping young adults bloom into a faith that is growing, full of love and mission oriented.
His hobbies include making music, eating good food, and having good conversations with family and friends. Sam was raised in Central America where his parents were part of developing church and health care missions. He has degrees from Southern Adventist University and Andrews University.
He is married to Shelley Campbell. They have two children, Alexandra (born in 2000), and a son, Micah (born in 2003).
Our housebound, Praison, comes from Tampere, Finland. This year is their 10th anniversary, since they have played and sung worship to God together from 2009 on.
The core of the band consists of two from Takala family and four from Lammi family, with occasional visiting musicians. Praison hopes earnestly that every participant could join to the worship with their hearts, so that there would not exist the division of Praison and audience, but there would be one big choir of worship.
The congress will take place at Conference Hotel Linnasmäki, about 4 kilometers from Turku city center. For those arriving with car, there is a lot of parking space. On Friday and Sunday we offer free transportation (needs registration) on two routes:
Harbor – Railway station – Bus station – Linnasmäki
Airport – Linnasmäki
